U.S. National Arboretum in Washington D.C.

The U.S. National Arboretum is an incredible place that any nature lover needs to visit. It is located  in the United States of Americas capital, Washington D.C.. The arboretum is an incredibly relaxing place and is great for anyone who loves nature of all forms. It covers 446 acres with 9.5 miles of roadways. There are lots of foot paths and picnic areas. Click on the following link to the National Arboretum website : http://www.usna.usda.gov     The site offers lots of info and virtual tours of what the arboretum has to offer. The main reason that I am creating post of the arboretum is because it is also the home to the National Bonsai-Penjing Museum. The best part is that the U.S. National Arboretum and the Bonsai Museum are FREE!

With so much to see, I was snapping photos non stop while touring the park. For this first post I will include photos from throughout the arboretum. I will also do more post specifically on the different areas of the arboretum every so often. I will do bonsai specific post under the U.S. National Arboretum category over the next couple weeks as well.
